We spent a long weekend here with our almost 2 year old. We loved the water park! Our daughter loved the little kids area, especially the slides! The arcade was fun for both us and our daughter as well. The lobby had events each night such as a bubble dance party with the characters, story time, and meet and greet. All of the staff was super helpful, kind, and always smiling! The rooms are a bit older, but very clean and roomy. We ate at the Hurricane grill the first night and service was excellent and the food was good. The only suggestion I would make would be maybe adding more anti-slip mats along the stone walkways in the park area. It gets very slippery especially when the park is busy. I did slip even while walking.

Great property, check in was quick and easy. Chris was able to check us in early on Christmas Day and was able to get us into rooms immediately. She was very friendly and helpful. Waterpark is a nice touch, not huge, but big enough to stay busy and enjoy for the day! I would come back here, especially in the summer when outside rides are available.

This review is for the water park only. Did not stay at the lodge. Park was great. Water was warm and they even took an hour intermition to test and clean water. Water slides are fun. Love the option to go alone or as a group of 4. Lazy river is good, but parts are shallow and i personally kicked the bottom. Smaller pool area for little children. Hot tub.! Over all great fun for my family and i will definitely attend again in the future.

Can the hotel use a little love? Yes. However upon arrival we were greeted by the nicest person at reception, even asking if any of our kids have sensory issues to accommodate. The hotel has a schedule to animate children which is awesome. The waterpark has something fun for every age. Quiet time starts at 11:00pm. Until then, yes, expect it to be loud. The hurricane restaurant was clean and the staff super friendly. I would definitely come back.

We ended up waiting over an hour for lunch. After an hour, our waitress came over to refill drinks. The black out in the room was great. The price is comparable to other places but the water park is small. The arcade was affordable and my kids enjoyed it.

We booked a family trip to ring in the new year as a gift to our 5 children. Pros: our suite was clean and big Staff was absolutely 5***** New years eve activities 5***** Kids zone so fun! Arcade is amazing. Cons: kitchen in room sleeps up to 12 we reserved and we weren't aware no basic supply of bowls etc. We had 3 bowls/forks/spoons for our group had we known we would have better prepared as we didnt want to leave the resort once we arrived. Biggest CON! and unfortunately its a big issue as the purpose was to enjoy the water inside vrs the cold outside.. online it is said water kept at 82° when in fact maybe the lazy river was at 70 but the baby pool was ICE COLD. All of the water was freezing which took away from the experience. ALSO A BIG ONE. The park should advertise water shoes OR smooth out the lazy river 7 of us are cut up on our feet and not Just slightly, my 11 year old needed to go to first aid and we had to purchase bandaids to care for everyone else. We would love to come back as the stay was over all fantastic but the water being so cold despite our best effort to find enjoyment tarnished the experience among the slight injuries. *Food* wise we hadn't left the resort during our stay, that being said the grill was phenomenal on LL floor. Servers beyond amazing and kind. Over all If the water temperature issue can be resolved we would love to go back because it is a beautiful, lively, friendly location. I seen some reviews on towels prior to our visit, we did bring towel to avoid any issues but only once on January 1st was their a shortage and that truly comes down the guests not returning like they should be at the end of the day.

We had a wonderful time! My husband and I brought our family (12 of us, including kids and grandkids) for a 3-day stay at the Great Escape Lodge, and it was so much fun! We booked the suite for 12 people and it was perfect. Clean, spacious, and plenty of room to move around. The only downside was the lack of chairs. The suite is designed for 12 people, but there were only 6 chairs, which became an issue when we wanted to play games in the evening. We asked for more chairs but were told it wasn’t possible. That part was hard to understand, considering the room capacity. We ate at all the on-site restaurants. It was fine. Nothing fancy, but we didn’t go there expecting 5-star dining. It’s mostly fast-food style, which was totally acceptable for a family trip. The coffee shop was nice too. One night, we ordered pizza from outside the lodge; it was cheaper and very easy to do. The arcade was a hit with both kids and adults, and it was fun to collect all the little prizes at the end of the weekend. We also loved walking around the lodge in our slippers all weekend, even in the restaurants! The indoor water park was PERFECT. We went about 3 or 4 times a day, go right when it opened and again at the end of the day for quieter moments. We must have done the lazy river about 200 times! The grandkids loved the smaller slides, and the older kids enjoyed the bigger ones. A great tip: buy a popcorn bucket and refill it all weekend for just $2. And for anyone wondering, the water was not cold at all. I hate cold water, and it was totally comfortable. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it—100%! We will make it a tradition with the family every January!

The bed here are terrible. The water park area is AMAZING. Crazy super fun for the entire family. Pur boys are 10 & 8, so this type of hotel was perfect for their energy. There are TONS of Lifeguards. So we felt really secure with letting our sons go around on their own. The staff here is top notch. Fantastic. Excellent service. There is a restaurant down stairs that has great food, I recommend the boneless buffalo wings & pizza. The Starbucks was great until they ran out of espresso the day after NYE, everyone was in dire need of coffee & they had none!!! I was so disappointed. We are definitely going to returning here 100%. This place is so much fun. Even for adults. Love it here. You will definitely make your family happy if you visit.
